Christmas lights on the ceiling in my living room? yup. A starry night every night sounds lovely to me.
I'm going to hang my pots. I have to invest in a nice set to display. I want cast-iron ones anyhow, or really anything I can use on the over then also bake in. Imagine the culinary possibilities? Also I don't have a dishwasher, it would save precious time.
I am making a swing in my living room. I don't care what anyone says. It's happening.
This I can also do! Make a wood accent wall! This isn't a new thought I was going to do it in my current place but didn't stay long enough to do anything really. And it even looks nice with the same color flooring I have. Maybe I could do a bunch of different colors of wood? Or shapes/sizes? hhmmm.
SHAG CARPET.
benches. I'm into benches. Maybe I should make a long bench for my kitchen?? I was going to get a bunch of stools (I'm making a long large shelf of reclaimed wood my kitchen table), but a bench could work too. I want something I can push under the shelf/table when I'm not using it to save space.
couch! Maybe it's worth paying a little to get a beautiful piece reupholstered?
I have adorable built in shelving in my new kitchen, I want to start collecting mason jars to put nick nacks in.
all white. heavenly. Though november (my tortoiseshell medium haired cat) would make quick work of this becoming black-ish.
I want to appliqué cushions! Also, that cushions inspired me to make some really nice fabric magnets! I'm going to go and buy a sheet tomorrow.
rope shelving! I know this is part of the original window fixture, but could easily be done to a shelf. Makes for an interesting book end? We shall see. So many ideas swimming.
Using tapestry as wall pieces. yes please. I guess this is also maybe a head board? Something I will be foregoing as I'm trying to find a canopy bed frame I can drape beautiful lace and crochet over. eeep! When I bring a boy home he might get scared off by the cats and the frills. hm. Is it bad I don't even care?? #addictedtomypassions
I can't remember if I have storage over my kitchen cupboards or not?? If so, my vintage crates could look so lovely there!
I AM AN IDIOT. honestly, a complete and utter moron. WHY haven't I just used a nice vintage fabric for a shower curtain before?! This will be probably one of the first steps when I move in (since it's extremely inexpensive and I already have the curtain rings for it). Maybe I'll make blog posts about my decorative efforts?? that could be fun.
that chair!
I WANT A CHURCH PEW FOR MY FRONT PORCH.
rolling racks... overdone now? considering it.
going to be on the hunt for one of these puppies to make into a cool litter box. Maybe not quite so large, but I have a vision. And that vision is to no longer have my cats litter in vision.. vision.
that couch!
BUY ME AN EAMES MOLDED PLASTIC ROCKER PLEASE. I promise to drape a beautiful fabric on it or some sort of fur. I swear. God look at that reclaimed wood mantel piece. beautiful.
I'm making this. Or some variation of this for my bedroom. a beautiful floating rack. I'm really into hanging things lately? I might use a nice industrial chain painted white or maybe a really thick rope to hang it. (maybe leftover rope from my swing? hhmmm)
fffaaaabbbrrrriiiiiccccccsssss
Maybe I should actually get a book shelf? probably not. love everything here also. Dark and rich. I seem to flip between stark white rooms and more moody dark ones. I'm crazy?
This looks really close to something I would actually do in my place. I like the general feel of the photos I've posted. Somewhere in the realm of kitschy contemporary mid-century modern with an anitquated twist? Who knows. Love everything about that image. Wish my hardwood was dark, alas I am stuck with a honey colored hardwood and don't really have permission to change it. curses.
